A horrible tragedy on Canada Day in Pickering. A 6 y.o. girl got a serious injury in a go-kart crash.
She was driving the racing kart in an industrial parking lot. At around 9:30 p.m. a person who witnessed the accident called Durham Regional Police to report the accident.
As per police, the girl was riding under adult supervision when drove into two parked vehicles after loosing control. Unfortunatley, she was not in a helmet and got a serious head trauma and injuries to her hands.
After that she was immediately transported to Ajax-Pickering Hospital. Later, Ornge Air Ambulance had to deliver her to the Hospital For Sick Kids by air. She still remains thjere in a life-threatening condition.
