A driver and a passenger have been sent to hospital after their motor vehicle collided with a moose.

As per OPP, the vehicle was going north on Hwy 11 in Bracebridge this Monday night, when suddenly a moose stepped out on the road in front of them. The car struck the animal head-on, with ensuing roll over before ending up on median.
The driver and passenger were urgently transported to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital. There is no information on their injuries or any other details surrounding the accident, as well as nothing is clear about what became of the moose.

Highway 11 was closed for a short time required for emergency services to respond and perform all actions necessary.
