Motorcycle fatal accidents reach 7-years maximum – OPP warns drivers

Ontario Provincial Police raised the concern about rapidly growing number of deaths in motorcycle crashes. They are sending warnings for Ontario drivers, highlighting that the number of fatalities is almost hitting the highest number in recent 7 years. As per Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, OPP have investigated 26 accidents involving motorcycles this year (25 motorcyclists and one passenger have gotten fatal injuries). As per the last year's statistics, the number of incidents was 29 but there are still good couple of several months with good conditions for bikers to ride this year. Man came to police after fatal bicycle accident

August 14, Milton The man (25 y.o.) came with confession after hitting a cyclist in Toronto. The 32-year-old victim of the incident got fatal injuries and died. As per the investigation report, a motor vehicle hit the male who was cycling in Milton. The victim's name has not been released as of yet. The driver suspected to be at fault, identified as Joel Van Beek, came to police on Wednesday, August 13. Now he is facing charges of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.

Toronto man charged with street racing causing death in a fatal car accident

August 8, Toronto The car crash happened in Mississauga at about 6:20 in the evening. The victim, later identified as Mohammad Haniff 29 (y.o.) was driving at a "high rate of speed". At some point he's lost control and smashed his Honda Accord into another vehicle, stated in the police report. One of witnesses from the scene said that the driver of the second vehicle, identified as a brown Toyota Camry, rapidly drifted from the scene leaving the victim helpless. August 6, 2014 A fatal car accident happened this morning around 10 am: a collision involving a CN freight train and a motor vehicle resulted in one victim. As per OPP, one male was killed when the car crashed into the front of the locomotive. Emergency response team had to extract the victim from the car. There is no information about any other people in the vehicle or any other injuries reported.
