A driver has been sentenced to 5 years in jail for driving under the influence resulted in a car crash caused immediate death of his passenger.
The before mentioned incident happened in 2012 (Mount Pleasant Rd, near Eglinton Ave, Toronto) late nignt. Oliver Karafa was driving with illegal amount of alcohol in his blood, and speeding more than twice the allowed speed limit in that area, Police stated. Hi passenger, David Chiang, 24 years old, was thrown from the vehicle after it hit the pole.
Oliver Karafa was found guilty of a number of charges. Among them are dangerous driving, driving under the influence and criminal negligence causing death.
