A car collision involving a GO train and a dump truck took place in Aurora this morning.
The train headed to Union Station from Allendale Waterfront Station is stopped south of King City because of the motor vehicle accident.
Fortunately, no personal injuries to the truck driver or any passengers have been reported yet.
The dump truck has taken severe damage. The front of the vehicle is smashed, the windshield is completely shattered, wheels are off the axis. Emergency crews are on scene – passengers are not allowed to leave the train. Damage to the train is significant as well, so passengers will be boarded onto another train.
